The unit is only 3 years old and I'm already on my 3rd foot pedal. Earlier this year I had the spring litteraly pop out of the housing unit during deployment, during a tournament at that. Now I have a motor that will run when locked in the up position but won't about 1/2 the time after being deployed. Any thoughts on this other than "buy a new motor"?

The foot controls are very notorious for going bad.I gave my new one away and put the copilot on mine. The remote control steering works great. The copilot is around $150 but well worth it.Extra remotes are $40.I have never had any problems with my copilot.

Nearly everyone I have talked to has said the same thing about the co-pilot. I'm defenitely sold on it as a replacement.
