try the bars over deeper water on the north side of the lake. Just look at a lake map and you will see a bunch of different ones to try. Moon Bar is a good place to start, but haven't fished out there lately.

We were up there the week of the 20th, our best luck was on Coon point and 4 mile bar, in the evening, but we only targeted sunfish. My best luck was with leaches, but my dad did the best with crawlers. When I had my wife and two daughters in the boat, I couldn't even fish, I was to busy baiting and removing fish. This lake produces some very nice sunfish, keep tring diffent depths and places, sometimes all it takes is a small move to be on top of better sized fish. We mostly kept fish bigger then 7-8 inches long, and we still got plenty, but every so often you'll pickup a 10 incher or bigger.

any updates? We'll be heading up looking for sunnies/crappies on Saturday. Any help would be great. I don't need specific spots, but any clues or tendencies will be helpful

Sunnies have been biting off Holiday Resort, Buckpoint and other spots, 10'-16' deep. Fish just off the bottom, and it's a very light bite. Look for groups of boats and check them out. Some nice Crappies are being caught, but tougher to find.

thanks for the info, but we actually found a lot of fish in the 18-21 feet areas a little bit north of the main lake. The bite was aggressive and it seemed they would bite on waxies and rosy red minnows and even beef sausage. We had a great time with some very nice sunnies caught. We even got checked by the DNR as we headed off the lake. He said it seemed like most people were having good luck.
