Anybody been having any luck on the lake?

Marion's overrated as you probably know. I wouldn't expect much feedback. Good luck. You can always get a pike, bass, or walleye on those weedlines. Oh wait, the whole lake is a bed of weeds.

only to return...likely a die-off. Not trying to be cynical...I love this lake it's my home waters, but it can be a bear to fish at times.

      I have caught them on Vermilion when the mayflies are hatching in the evening by using a fly rod with small poppers or may fly type dry flies. Just cast to the surfacing fish. A spinning rod with an Adjusta Float with poppers or flies may work even better. Cliff

      I have also wondered why there are no Sauger in Vermilion. I have never caught one there or heard of one being caught by anyone else. Cliff
