Hey guys, i know its been awhile since i posted any thing so i figured maybe i should give a report. I guided last Wednesday on the trap for muskies (had four blow ups on the same bait all in home bay, non connected), and on the way home from guiding i managed to put a wheel bearing out of the trailer which kept me off the water for almost a week. so got the boat back on tuesday and have been bass fishing the last few days to get ready for tommorrow nights bass club tourny. sorry i dont have any great report for walleyes, has heard that Potato and Island have been the best with some really good reports coming in from straight as well. might fish for eyes tonight, Jonah.

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
