Next week middle of the week I am coming up to westwind for the first time for summer fishing on the lake, I have been up there a couple of times in the winter. Just wondering if this cooler streak of weather is going to hurt my chances to catch myself some nice pike or walleye? ISNT ANYONE OUT THERE?

I just finished two more of these 10 rod racks ... one is spoken for but the other is available. If you were thinking of getting one, now would be a great time. I could stain it to your spec and put the final poly finish on it and ship it to you in a couple days. Let me know if you are interested.

Just went and checked out the lake, it is a slushy mess but I can get anywhere out there on the south west side, and all I have is front wheel drive minivan lol So I'm going to do a little recon on a lake map and pick my spot for the evening bite. Any suggestions on depth for walleyes?

Nice article. Perhaps the lake trout season should close in February right along with walleyes and pike?

Yeah, saw that too. Rumor has it he was heading towards the river access from Horseshoe. Not smart.

Nice report! I hope he cleaned the fish for you, lol!
