Saganaga boat landing

5 posts in this topic

I haven't fished in Saganaga before and I was wondering if the boat landings are ok. Enough room to park? Since I am camping at the end of the trail is there somewhere I can leave my trailer? It probably won't fit in the campsite. I checked out lakefinder and know there are 3 landings. Thanks for any info you can give.

We always use the landing that is just north of the Sag Store and there was plenty of room for trailers. They do charge a daily fee, but not very much. The landing itself is not bad, two spots and you do not have to go very deep to launch or re-trailer, but it is sand if I remember correctly. Have fun, should be a beautiful time of year to be up there, let me know how the fishing goes.

I see that the gull river goes between the end of the trail campground and saganaga. Is it navigable so I can bring my boat closer to the campsite?

Real tricky - it might be doable, but it's r e a l tricky. It'd be easier to trailer your boat back and forth each day to the landing.

I wouldn't try it, it's really hard to navigate when the water is high enough, and right now it's really low.

When I left for work yesterday the lake had white caps on it. When I got back 10hrs later it was locked up. An hour after that the first idiot was broke through the landing. If we get the snow they are predicting for Saturday my guess is there will be sleds in the water this weekend. They do it every year.    Patients people.

I have never fished it in the winter. Do not know of anyone that has either. Should be good though! Cliff
