Trip on Sept. 28-30

2 posts in this topic

I am planning a trip to LOW/Rainy River on September 28-30. I am trying to decide where to stay - down the river or on the lake. Where will there be more fish? Thanks for any help.

Beav: I'd stay at Wheelers Point. You will have the river and the lake to choose from. Several resorts and a nice motel too. Plenty of good food restaurants, if you don't want to cook. Check out the sponsors of this site, and you'll have a great time and plenty of good fishing. If you want entertainment, a couple of the resorts provide that also. You can't go wrong at Wheelers Point.... Kaz smile.gif

I bet you got a great deal on it this time of year.  I absolutely love my 8" ION as it has a nice enough size hole when using ice house, also, very light weight when drilling multiple holes.  Love the reverse!  Really makes the experience more fun and not so tired as i was using strike master before and i needed to sit down after drilling 4 holes.  When and if you get to use it.  let us know what you think.   Congrats!   Bob
