Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

They look pretty good to me, you can't really expect someone to post every little detail about their honey hole.

I know three post's in a row!

SouthMetroSlayer,

I strongly urge you to read all of the post's, they tell ya every thing you would need to know. The only thing missing is a bait store location.

I think the only way better to get more info is hire a guide.

Maybe you missed a couple responces, I will repost a link.

What union? What's the date? EXPLORE! Unless you have a 10' jon boat with an electric trolling motor, you can cover the entire lake rather quickly. You don't need to follow other boats. Watch the flasher. Look for the 'spot on the spot'. Like Buck Perry said "They're either shallow, deep, or somewhere in between". I know it's vague but if you can read your electronics, you can find fish. The lake is too close to the cities to give out details.

I recently purchased a humminbird 688ci hd ice locator and it has GPS and the option for lake master chip. I'm going to drive to Cabela's to buy a chip  and was wondering the difference between the Lake Master Minnesota and the Minnesota Plus. Anyone have any experience with these and are they worth the money. Thanks.

I haven’t checked backwaters since last weekend, but I checked the small lake this morning and it has just under 2 inches of ice.  McNally’s has been hit pretty hard for the last 2 weeks.

You start posting where the crappies are on the lake now.  We'll start talking!

Even when the lake trail is marked the oak narrows are sketchey and I avoid it when I can. There can be 24" here and 1/4" there. That being said... There is ice but that's the worst spot on the lake

What a difference a few years makes on the volume of posts on this site.  The early 2000’s was filled with numerous posts during the Crappie Boom by colorful characters like Kelly P, Jiggle Stick, the Gamblers and so many others.  Clamping, lead suits, IBOTS, Crappie Highway, and so many other memories.  Some of those memory makers are no longer with us R.I.P.  I don’t come on this site that often anymore but still enjoy Kelly’s wisdom and knowledge concerning the lake and topics related to it.  I try to keep up on happenings through the URL Association newsletter but I miss the old days.  I must be getting old.
