River smallies

3 posts in this topic

Wondering if there are anyother good spots to fish smallies from the bank of the Ottertail River? I have fished the power plant and down from orwell dam. We dont have a boat suitable for the river so it will be bank and wade fishing. Thanks.

those are two of your better spots from shore. you could try dayton hollow or the broken down dam areas. There are a lot of access points by foot in Fergus. what part of the power plant were you talking about? hoot lake or the diversion? either spot should be suitable.

I have fished both and had luck in the past, I haven't been able to get over there yet this year and figured I'd better before the summer is gone.
