How is the fishing on Latoka?

2 posts in this topic

I am heading to Latoka this coming weekend and was wondering how the fish were biting and maybe some spots to try. I've never fished it before. I would appreciate anybody's help.

Rustiest1 - How did you do? This is a tough lake to figure out. The Walleyes are HARD TO CATCH. The lake is so clear. There are little northerns everywhere. There is an abundance of bass and they are fairly easy to catch. There are keeper sunfish and also easy to catch. The crappies are a challenge as the move to deeper water after May. But, they are decent size when you can find em. The weed line is 22 feet. I have had the best luck in 12-15 feet of water on spots close to deeper water. Points or flats.

The stability is unreal!   I can stand in it if i want .... it is 9 feet long by 4 feet wide.   zooms really nice as is good for being stealth in the shallows

I know the lakes are open and that means some the first open water fishing spots are producing. Any one out there catching em yet? I will be riggin the ultra light up today so I can stop on my way home from work.
