Will be going for the first time this year. Seems like its a pretty big deal according to the locals I've talked too.

Anyone have any tips on the best place to watch the lake activities and fireworks from? How about any other cant miss things to do, see, eat or drink tongue.gif

Torgy's is probably the best place to hang out, drink some cocktails, and catch the fireworks. Minnewaska House will probably have the best live music, but won't be able to see the fireworks too well. I gave up on the street dance festivities years ago, but that's another option.

Warning to anyone attending though, don't drink and drive. Just about any vehicle driving around will be pulled over at some point. The local law enforcement will really be tight this weekend. Bustarama is back.

Forget Torgy's etc. The Lakeside Ballroom is the place where activities are centered including evening dances, fireworks, food, parade etc. Street or fairground parking, get somewhere between the Ballroom and beach for fireworks. The lake is great if you have a boat but be prepared for a long wait to get off the lake. We sometimes watch the parade in our boats close to shore, you can cool off in the lake and have a brew. NO DRINKING ON CITY PROPERTY! Have a great time and welcome to Glenwood Waterama. (25 years experience)
