Looking for Smallmouth on Nam

1 post in this topic

Hi Guys,

I'm attempting a trip in the heat next week and would like to keep my 2 boys entertained with some smallmouth action.

We have been up there in the past and always seem to get a few, but not great numbers like I see others catch up there.

We will be staying around the Namakan Island area and if any guys would like to give up a couple of spots to try out, that would be great! We only practice Catch-n-release , so the bass will be back in to catch your next trip up.

My e-mail is

Thanks in advance!

Cold and windy today, bass didn't seem to mind too much. Minnows under a float did the trick once again :-)

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you till now. I haven't had a chance to hit the chain this fall.  The bar on Cedar island that has the buoy is a food place to start. Lots of in's and out alond that whole piece of structure. The river is another option, minnows will be running soon, if they aren't already. Find the shinners, you will find walleyes close by.

I would check with another vet first that might much cheaper than u of m. I know by there is 3 vets in Princeton. I know vet in the metro charge more than here. As Zach said try more rest and don't let your dad watch your dog for the 6 weeks. I know it is hunting season but it's better allow your dog to heal.

I can honestly say, it has helped my fishing success tremendously! All the best to all of you, and looking forward to next Spring already! Andy
