HOT HOT HOT

picksbigwagon

so the kids are gone at my wife's parents for all of next week, and I am planning on coming up either wednesday and thursday or just thursday. The weather is supposed to be hot, what can you suggest (fishing wise that is) for my plan of attack? If I come up wednesday, I will go out during the evening and hit some reefs with slip bobbers, but during the day on thursday, will anything be hungry? will the smallmouth be cooperative during the day? thanks in advance

You should be able to get a few smallmouth takers. Everything will most likely be better early early morning or at night.

Nova

Picks, the smallies were pretty active last weekend on the shallow rocks. we caught them pulling #5 shad raps, throwing tubes and even the trusty white spinnerbait worked. The walleyes on the gravel 16-22' bit all day, just hard to find them in the 14-16" size. Muskies are pretty active also if you want someting to pull you around the lake for a while. I wish ya luck.

Nova, were you slip bobbering on the gravel or draggin crawlers? It is gonna be hot, but I am pretty darn sure I will be up there fishing all day thursday..

Thanks all. FYI I'm located on Frazer Bay on Vermilion. Give a shout out if/when you may be on the water up there. I may give the Pike River Flowage a try tomorrow or Saturday. I'll provide a report if I go. Thanks again.

@Rick G, it's about the questionable link they left. Either something hard is going to popup. Or someone may end up with a virus. Or both!

I sure would like to see your video Curt, but can't seem to get past the error code myself. Hope it was a good one, and always look forward to seeing them..

Thanks Rick G that will be this springs project one thin spray on the top and bottom should be just right. Seems they all have this issue you’d think they’d do somthing about it.

I've got a 9 ah battery ordered in addition to my 5 ah batteries.   I'm thinking I should be in better shape.  But with the ice getting pretty thick I'll be switching to my gas auger soon.

Thanks for the replies I will be getting one today. Poseidon one thing to check is your blade sharpness Last year I thought my drill was getting weak I put new blades on and away I went.  With this open winter they tend to dull faster just an idea. I'm getting about 15 -18 holes per battery in 20 inches of ice also with same set up.

Teach them up in the way they should go. And they will never part from it! Great video!   Mom probably loved the day off too!
