We will be up in that great country July 21-28th. We are from New Lenox, Il. and looking to see if all you guys are meeting at pike hole for lunch any day. Windy, Commanche, ECT.

How is the fishing? Can't wait to be on the water Saturday!

Why don't all you guys stop in at Stoney Point before you go? We're in Mokena........ We can talk about the trips over an ice cold one and pull out the Cass Lake map.....or look at the framed map on the wall.

What do you guys think?

Jim,

What dates are you there? We are leaving Friday so I don't know if I could make it by then. Have a great trip and maybe after you are back we can still talk about the trip over a cold one.

I took my kids for a monticello outing yesterday, but my boy spiked a fever on the way so I had to abort mission.  Tried a little shorefishing at home this afternoon in Brooklyn Park. I tried spoons, jerkbaits and ringworms. No action.

Heading to Grand rapids on Wed. Any chance a guy can drive back in the woods with a car??

Palmer lake is good for sunfish (and it's kind of a pond), but it's been getting hammered this winter. I'm worried about the pressure it's been getting. I wouldn't mention it here, but word is clearly out already. There are a lot of great options to try around Eagan. That's where I do most of my pond fishing.  I live in Brooklyn Park now and have had a tough time finding good fishing in ponds/little lakes up this way. Might have to give the clay hole a try
