Does anyone know how to contact Kip's Camp on Dead Lake? I can't find anything on them on the internet.

Thanks Matt, have you ever stayed there? I heard they rebuilt some of ther cabins and it's pretty nice there.

Sorry, I have not been there. It's off the tar a few hundred yards so you'd have to drive in there to see it. I fish on Dead sometimes, but not on the north part where Kimp's Kamp is, so I haven't seen it from the lake side either for a while.

We used to go there every Labor Day for 6-8 years. Kip was a great guy. About 7 years ago some of his family took over and we lost out Labor Day spots. We were a large family group that reserved 4-5 cabins a year. Left a bitter taste because we had standing reservations. We received a call a couple of weeks before Labor Day and were told we no longer had the spots, they were going to do something else with the cabins. On such short notice we were unable to find anything else that year. Not very fancy and it needed lots of work but it was a good place to fish. Would I recommend it? Probably not.

Well I know many of you are not going to believe me but I went out side (I have no clue why) and looking in the grass and saw what looked like a bunch of small twigs. Well they weren't sticks they were night crawlers! I grabbed a bucket and was able to grab 8 of them that was the first time I've got any for a long time so I missed a lot as I was way too slow went out a few minutes ago and there was none. I got them all around 7pm. Texted buddys and none of them believed me a few pictures turned that around. They all went looking and they found none must have been my area the hot spot maybe? Not really ice fishing related but its the middle of February not july finding some thawed dirt was a bit tricky either froze or mud after digging around I found some good stuff. Hoping the ice holds up and it will be safe for next weekend I'm going to have to try them for gills maybe. I've never used crawlers in the winter any of you? I've still got lots of waxes though. Now I fell I'm rambling but felt I had to share this!
