Looking to find Bass on Star, what are some good places and techniques to start out with on this lake? Anyone been out there lately?

I have only fished the lake a few times for bass and have had the best luck on the East side in that little cove that is there. I was out there a couple years ago when the local bass club was out there and most headed to the south end. I have also caught some in the southern most west arm before the bridge and on the other side of it. I fished them in the morning and evenings in the reeds and did OK on a spinnerbait. Good luck.

Most of our fish came on minnows under bobbers. I spooked countless fish with even subtle jigging.

I never made it out Monday was too tired from fishing Friday - sunday didn't feel like getting up early

Hey, Here a quick update on actual ice thickness or snow cover on trout. 14 inchs of ice pressure ridge out there. if you are  on a snowmobile if traveling fast on it watch for it. Truck or car i do not recommend on trout with pressure ridge. And yes i have been on the whitefish chain this year in truck. just not on trout. just my 2 cents
