You can try Ebay for a used one or have it rebuild at a shop near you.

Tim's outboard in Hackensack Mn. He's got a pretty good inventory of used stuff if you are looking to go that route.

I doubt its an o ring, more likely to be a stuck valve. If you have your boat up by PR I could look at it for you. I have fixed many tt units. I'm pretty sure its nothing too serious. Send me your email or tel # if interested.

I have the unit pulled. I hooked it up to a battery and the motor runs but nothing moves. I'll be up in PR this Thursday. Send me your info so I can contact you. My e-mail is archer59@comcast.net

Thanks,

Nick

I took the TT apart after talking to iffy and found plastic shaving from the fill plug stuck in the springs of the pump. cleaned it all up and it works great. Thanks again to iffy.

How big are the hooks you're using, wookie?   Make sure they're big enough, especially if you're using big minnows.    I also use heavier line than most people (10 lb flouro) on our rattle reels so I can set the hook with a bit of gusto without worrying about breaking off.  I might get a few less bites than my friends using 4 lb or 6 lb test, but in the long run I bet we both get the same number of fish on the ice.

Lighten up Francis!  LOL!  It was a blanket statement.  We see it all the time.     If you wanna get away from Sillytown, keep on fishin!

I have read that mercury levels are a reason there is no commercial harvest on vermilion. But it was probably the same thing you read as I have not found a second source of that. There is commercial harvest of rustys on other Minnesota lakes so there must be a reason it's not done here.    For or what it's worth, the DNR has suggestions on how much fish to eat because of mercury.
