The water temps are now in the low 70's and the musky action is heating up. Two have been landed on topwater this week and three more in my boat on jerkbaits. Most of the action has been right before a small front moves through. Cabbage beds and the deep water near by are holding the most fish so far.

Walleye fishing is still going good to ok with the flies hatching. I can't remember a year where we have had more fish over 20 inches in the past 16 years of fishing Cass. Crawlers and leeches durring the day in about 15 feet of water has been good with most of the big fish being caught in the evening.

I will try to get some pics put up soon!

I agree that it seems lots of solid walters came in last week at our resort - and from all over the lake. And the good thing is I also caught lots of cigars in the Kettle and at Wanaki so that bodes well for the future too.
