Ten Mile Lake Reports

3 posts in this topic

Have a buddy that is turning 40 this weekend and want to take him fishing. Thought about taking him up to Ten Mile to chase some Walleyes and Smallies around. Has anyone been out there? Just wondering if the fish have been biting or if I should come up with plan b. Thanks in advance for your input!

I don't have any info, but you might want to try the Ottertail - Fergus Falls forum - I know some people there fish Ten Mile a lot.

Thanks First Ice for the tip, I guess it would be closer to that area. I'll try that and see what they have to say grin.gif

I can not think of any lake in the Ely area that would have 5" of ice. Even the beaver ponds in the Tower area barely have ice on them! Cliff

Took a ride around to look at a few lakes today in the Duluth area today.  Needless to say I did not like what I found.  Mostly open water is what I came across.  Any thin ice I found will not be able to hold up to any kind of wind or heavy snow fall.  Come on colder temps...   As always, Take care, Tom (BD110)

Someone is already fishing on 5 inches in Ely. Look up rough fish on google, then go to the first result, then go to "recent forum topics". Neat stuff.

I took my last casts of the year today on the Cannon River, just below the dam at Alexander Park. Now I'm waiting on ice, fingers crossed for Dec 17th as it's a long weekend for me.
