Mid June now, are the walleyes still located in their early spring spots?

So, it is Mid June now, are the walleyes still located on their early spring locations? Such as shallow rocks, sand, gravel, ect., or is it time to fish the deep mud flats?

Been having a lot of luck on the mud lately. However, the bugs have been so bad the last couple of days its been tough to fish out there. mad.gif

They are bad on the mud now only when it's calm though.

The fish are in deep water, fish mainly the gravel and mud. If there is a good breeze the reefs can still be good at times.

Wasn't out but just drove by Locke lake by hasty on 94. There were about 8 people out on the lake. All walked out. Not even ATV's. Best I can give ya.

Hoping things button up with the colder night time temps later in the week...all the crappies I have been getting lately have been shallow....and I'm talking even on edges of pencil reeds in that 8ft depth.  IMO they are acting like late March panfish, very aggressive and seem to have started the migration towards their spawning grounds.  I'll be out catching crappies even if I have to walk out...who knows...maybe mother nature will throw us a another curveball and it will get real cold again in a couple weeks. Good Luck!
