motor mounted trolling motors?

I have a 55#? minnkota bolted to the cavitation plt of 150 Yamy Tiller . I only used it last weekend and it worked well trolling bot bounce & spinners on mille. Its nice not having to get up from capt chair and you can troll 1-2 mph w/elec. It does seem to put on some drag out of the hole. maybe thats why my boat doesnt get on plane very well. I think i'll try a different pitch prop before I unbolt it.
