Charter Trip out of Two Harbors area?

5 posts in this topic

Good morning. Would anyone be able to provide any reccomendations for a 1/2 day charter trip for my dad, bro-n-law, and myself out of the Two Harbors area for the weekend of 7/21-22. Although I do plenty of inland lake fishing around the state, I have never fished on Superior but they asked me to do some research before our family vacation this year. So, any ideas, reccomendations, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There's lots of charters out of Duluth too which is a short drive from Two Harbors.

Thanks for the input. Generally speaking how is the fishing in mid July? Is there anything I should look for or avoid when considering the various charter options that are available?

Fishing for lake trout should be hot that time of year. Water is still cold out of Knife River but by July its warming up nicely. Al

I'll stand behind Steve's ice rods!   I was able to get a nice collection of them last week.  Some panfish rods that I hope to work out tomorrow, and some walleye/laker types that I used today.  Great feel, light, and well built.       I connected with a couple mid-20 inch lakers today and couldn't have enjoyed the fight any better on another rod.  Very happy!   Thanks Steve!
