  1. 2020 Rainy Lake Fishing Reports-Click Here. Rainy Lake Fishing Reports Got a buddy to go with me today so have some pictures. Ended up with 35 fish. Got my biggest bass ever on Rainy so well worth the trip. All caught on soft plastic lures. Could not have been nicer out. By end of day I had to take off my coat, sweater and hat. Got a nice November Canadian tan.

  3. Voyageur Park Lodge on Lake Kabetogama recently purchased brand new Ice Trek brand fish houses to rent on Lake Kabetogama. The houses themselves are all aluminum with spray foam insulation, clean, warm and comfortable! If your looking for something different from the usual LOW, Red experience check us out. These are day use houses only and we will offer lodging at Voyageur Park Lodge. We will only have one lodging unit open in the winter, so fishing parties will be the only guests at the resort, so lots of privacy and no other parties around. Fish houses will be private out on the ice also! We are excited to be the only angling houses on Lake Kabetogama! If your looking for something different let us know! 4. Heading to Rainy for a weekend of walleye fishing (Oct 7 - 11). Has anyone been out lately and how has the fishing been? Thanks.
  5. Hi All, I'm new to this site. Was over on IDO but there's so little activity on the Rainy Forum that I started looking elsewhere. Wondering what everyone does for trophy pike in mid to late September and what is the biggest pike you or one of your friends has landed there. Is a 50" pike something that you have heard of actually happening or is that beyond what this lake produces? I seem to find plenty of photos with 42-47" pike but nothing bigger to my knowledge. The owner at Northernaire Houseboats told me he has landed a 50" pike but it sounded like that was several years ago. Does anyone try contour trolling with big baits? I have generally just stuck to cabbage beds but need to have a backup plan in case the big girls aren't in the bays yet. We haven't found anything bigger than 42" and I want to hit something bigger if possible. Thanks for any advice or fish stories you can provide!
  6. The walleye are a snapping here on Rainy. We got this 30 incher up shallow ,we also caught some nice bass. What a great day the fish were really biting. BB1
  7. The bass are staging on points in front of spawning areas and are starting to move in ,getting ready for the spawn.I saw a big female on a bed yesterday. The water temps were in the lower sixties.I caught a lot of male fish and a few big females.I saw quite a few just swimming around in the shallows.I have also got into the walleye's in 8 to 12 feet of water. The bait of choice for the bass was a 3.5 inch Lunker city shaker tail in white on a 1/8 oz jig head ,the eye's I was getting came on the new Freedom swing head jigs 1/4 oz with a green fluke. The little pike continue to be a pain in the .... 8. Just got back from a week of camping and fishing on Rainy Lake. While the bite was not fast and furious it was consistant and good. We seemed to find fish scattered from 6 FOW all the way to 35 FOW with the reefs holding most of the fish. Locating and staying on a school and waiting them out seemed to work best rather that chase after the hot bite. We mainly fished jigs with crawlers, shiners and leeches but did do some live bait rigging. Neither tactic seemed to out produce the other. They seemed to show preference to one of the baits for a while and then would shut off. Changing up baits and/or presentation seemed like get them going again.
