I'll be interested in what anyone says. I tried it in the winter two years ago just for the heck of it and got skunked, but I've only been there once.

It's an ok pike lake. Lots of stunted panfish otherwise. I haven't been there in many years though.

Could one dump a small boat in there? I can't remember.

I grew up right next to it and fished it a lot. Haven't fished it since 1999 or so, but it actually was great fishing in the mid 90s. Notable fish are 2 walleyes from shore at the boat launch and also a 29" pike there too. Also got a 16" smallmouth on a buzzbait. I guess they stocked them is the 50s. Also the north end has a lot of lily pads for largemouth. I have caught several over 4lbs, best was 21".
Also, the lake used to be full of nice sized sunnies. There was a spike is algae bloom (phosphorous in lawn fertilizer) and it seems to me there are a lot fewer sunnies now. I think they were the main forage base so if you still see lots of them, then it should be chock full of nice fish.
There used to be a retired guy who has an unmistakable paddleboat trolling motor combo out there. Ask him about fishing for current info on the lake if he still roams there.
You used to be able to ice fish it mid-winter in 25 fow (middle)
and get sunnies and crappies like wildfire.

Oh yeah, there is a boat launch on the SW side on Larch Lane. Park on 45th avenue N.
