The mayflys work I have caught fish in them in all colors best for me has been the purple passion #46 They are a bit spendy, however I have been using one bait for 5 days now and caught over a 100 sunfish and crappies on it you would have spent a lot more on a tub of waxworms!

I heard it was ABOUT 6-7 inches this past weekend. Not sure what this weeks weather did to it though. As always, this is one location and its a big lake. Check as you go as its early yet and Alex froze over later than all other lakes in the area.

I have lived here for all my 40 years. There has always been a small walleye population on Gladstone. Also has always been an access. Not a nice one but a spot to get to the lake. I caught a 9 pound walleye there in the 80s

hard to tell by that time of the year, I would say you would do find looking on weed flats that are 12-15 ft. if that doesnt produce what you are looking for, try sliding out a little deeper and searching. goodluck!-Whitetail
