Cass Lake

Fishing has been great up on the Cass Chain for quite some time now. Musky are hitting various kinds of lures and still using the rocks and cabbage. With the cooling temps look for the steep breaks and shallows to turn on big time. The big pike are feeling the relief of the cooler weather and are moving back into the weeds. Try a jerk or glide bait and hold on.
Walleye and perch are both doing good. Many nice walleye are holding in the 25 foot zone with several decent jumbo perch and walleye mixed together on the rocks/gravel breaks. Jigs and minnows or a lindy rig with leech/crawler are producing well.
